Gravesend Library opened in 1962. In 2001, the branch underwent a $1.5 million renovation that included new lighting, furniture, shelving, art objects and public computers. Gravesend library hosts a monthly book discussion club for adults. Gravesend serves its diverse community with large collections of Russian, Chinese and other multilingual materials.
