Brighton Beach is home to one of the highest-circulating collections in the BPL system, with particular demand for Russian-language materials. The neighborhood’s main thoroughfare, Brighton Beach Avenue, is lined with Russian shops, groceries, newsstands, restaurants and nightclubs, from Ocean Parkway to Coney Island Avenue. Known for its large Russian community, Brighton Beach is also home to large Hispanic and Asian populations.
