    Purpose of use

    Illustrates the blog site that was one of the earliest to make public Senator Lott's comments regarding Senator Thurmond that eventually led to Lott's resignation. The image supports the article blog in showing the growing importance of blogging in political matters. The screenshot was selected to illustrate the blog, and the casual discussion/reporting of the comments in blogging style on a matter that was soon to have great impact.
