I just had to find a picture to attach and this one seemed cool just because of the “This is the face commanding and bearded . . . .” and because I am Common fan and his face just seems to be telling a story itself!

I wanted to attach my own bearded picture from my profile, but prof. Karen said that it’s scary, so I didn’t want you guys to find me scary :) :)

Thanks for your comment, and for a Common reference! :)

i am in the citytech class looking for whitman, i just had a question
about why did you chose common’s picture, the quote is great, but i dont see the connection with common, aside from the small facial hair common has.

I’m in the Walt Whitman Class at Rutgers University Camden. In New Jersey and I just wanted to say Welcome! and that I really liked your frontispiece. Very powerful imagery! Great start to what I’m sure will be a great blog.

Dragan, I see a cool visual montage of the boat, to the bearded face, to the apple… hey, what about that mtv video for Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer”?
