hi eunice! i feel the same way too, most of the times i have to read his works at least two times in order to have a sense of what is being said, then after i would google the poem to see what it is actually about, its okay you are not alone on the diffcult literature of whitman

i always knew what hieroglyphics were but for some who didn’t this was an excellent way to find out! i like the pictures that go with it also!

This is very interesting– I too, read about his early childhood days, which I’m very much fascinated about. I’m curious as to how one’s childhood/memories can have an impact in one’s writings
